This Brand Is Amazing: C. Wonder

Posted in accessories, clothing, New York City, online shopping, Style by Lauren on August 20, 2012

1. So I just

Discovered the store known as C. Wonder. It is just the cutest.

For years my aversion to all things pink, green, and preppy would have turned me away from this gem of a store, but it seems I have learned to be more accepting.

2. I like this store for

One main reason (among others). This store is the definition of attainable luxury. You can purchase gold plated and enamel initial bracelets for under $50, get an awesome-yet-affordable gift for a friend, buy personalized items bearing your monogram, order some really cute wellies that look similar to this season’s Marc Jacobs for $40.

In fact, I bought one of those afore mentioned bracelets myself.

3. What gets

Me going with regard to this brand it the presentation. When I received my package in the mail (I ordered online), Not only was it wrapped neatly in tissue paper and sealed with a bevy of gold C. Wonder stickers, the receipt was encased in a stripped and candy-colored envelope -  complete with an attached discount coupon for my next purchase!

If you’re wondering why the bracelet bears the letter N… my middle name is Nichole.

Check out more from C. Wonder HERE.

Again, this is a short post, but I promise there will be more interesting things to come. For the time being, let’s all have a gander at this lovely feathered ear adorment.

2. That’s

All for now, my lovely readers!

A Glittery Distraction: Philippe Tournaire

Posted in accessories, architecture, art, design, dream real estate, fashion, inspiration, jewelry, New York City by Lauren on December 18, 2010

1. I want

To collect every ring in this collection. Jeweler Philippe Tournaire based the design of these rings on the architecture of major cities like New York, Florence, Dubai, China, Moscow. This is talent my friends! The first ring represents New York City. I want it. Tournaire fashions his jewelry out of métaux précieux (precious metals) creating beautiful works of art for us to consume!

 2. Get yourself some

Bijoux, from Philippe Tournaire at his website or have a look at the photos in the gallery below!

I might just JACK Johnny Depp’s frames

Posted in accessories, celebrities, fashion, film, hair, Johnny Depp, movies by Lauren on November 19, 2010

1.  If you didn’t already know,

I get style inspiration from Johnny Depp and the characters he plays. THAT’S RIGHT, my accessory inspiration comes from a MAN! And right now I’m obsessing over Depp’s eyewear.

While I don’t NEED prescription lenses, I do wear my share of personality frames (glasses without the prescription). I’ve been doing the 2009 black RayBan look and I want a bit of a change. The frames are a bit too boxy for me. I need something that is smaller – something that curves. Kinda like…

That.

Or even…

2. This.

gorgeous, no? It is trully time for a change people, time to go from boxy to round, from geek to… sleeker geek!

The brand producing these clear frames is PRISM London! Their cystal PARIS frames feel  just right - not too much, not too little. And the fact that they are clear makes them work with almost anything! I love these. Check ‘em out at www.prismlondon.com.

Did I also mentionThat JD has some awesome hair? No? Well, he does!

+ I hope someone got the pun I was making in the title. ;)

Lauren

1. I am so

excited to share one of my wonderful new Etsy purchases (I know… I’m obsessed!) with you all! The above is a necklace from Blue Bayer Design NYC, it is a lovely 18k gold plated raven’s skull.

Okay – I’ll admit it! I love the fact that the artist who designed my necklace, Blue Bayer, took the time to write this little thank you on the back of my receipt!

Check out his Etsy here.

+ How is

everyone!? Any new things happenning?

I have one random new thing I’ve decided to do: Read Catcher In The Rye, again. I think reading it will mean so much more to me now that I am older. We’ll see how that goes.

À plus tard,

Lauren
